Most commercial computer artists work for multi-media design companies or within corporate marketing departments.
Careers in Computer Art—Preparation
Whether you want to be a commercial computer artist or create art using computers you'll probably need to learn how to navigate the state-of-the-art computer design software used throughout the computer design industry. Courses that introduce you to this software are available at graphic design schools, art institutes, and other vocational schools. Degree programs in this field generally last approximately two years.
